I recently got my Oculus and just received my link cable, when I plug the cable into my computer it shows on the oculus app that I am connected and active although when I go to hit the quest link in Oculus I am met with a black screen and three dots loading with no progress or change. This is the same with Airlink and quest link, I have tried multiple things such as reinstalling the oculus software and repairing the software, etc but nothing is working. My cable shows it compatible so I really don't know what the issue here could be. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am out of ideas to get my quest link working.

@Ablaine19Heyoo! That's quite the pickle you seem to be stuck in with Link via cable and Air.
I do have a couple of questions to ask:
- What are your current PC specs? (RAM, OS, GPU Type and version, CPU type)
- Is your PC Link compatible?
- When you reinstalled the Oculus Home app, was is with the (way) below steps?
- What all did you test out? (Just to not repeat anything already done)
Also, I do have something else you can try for now:
- Possibly updating your GPU drivers or Windows 10/11
- Clean install Oculus Home:
- Disconnect the Rift/Link cable from the computer.
- Disconnect your computer from the internet.
- Backup any necessary content.
- You can find steps on how to do so byclicking here.
- Reboot into Safe Mode.
- Uninstall Oculus Home using the Control Panel.
- Delete all Oculus folders from the following folder:
- C:\Program Files
- Remove any Oculus folders from the following locations:
- C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData
- C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Local
- C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\LocalLow
- C:\Users\YourUserProfile\AppData\Roaming
- C:\OculusSetup-DownloadCache
- Restart your computer in normal mode.
- Reconnect your computer to the internet.
- Install Oculus Home again using the setup tool from our websitehere.
- Reconnect the Rift/Link cable and re-test the headset.
If nothing seems to work, just reach back out to me and I'll see what else we can give a shot! 🙂

My PC specs are a Razer Blade 14 with 16Gb ram, and Windows 11 Home 64-bit. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060, Version 31.0.15.1694, and AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX with Radeon Graphics Version 10.0.22000.778. Let me know if there's anything else you need all my drivers are up to date along with my windows software. I have tried factory resetting the headset, and making a new account one linked with Facebook and one with my email. trying multiple ports on my computer, trying multiple link cables that are USB 3 and compatible after running the test. I have tried uninstalling the Oculus software entirely from my computer multiple times, I went into all the files you listed and deleted all instances then tried to cleanly redownload and still the three dots. I was successful in reaching quest link only on one attempt but I honestly did nothing different and it wouldn't give me proper access to my desktop (icons weren't responding, black screen). The second I exited quest link to try to fix something I was unable to access it again. I have tried repairing the software from the setup which did nothing. I really don't know what to do at this point, absolutely nothing works.

Thank you for trying all of that troubleshooting all of that with us. We're still happy to help you. Is the USB cable our official link cable that you are using? Do you see any bends, twists, cuts, frays, ect on the cable?

@Ablaine19Thanks for that update on everything! You do seem to have all the requirements, so I do have a couple more questions if you don't mind.🤗
When you tried the multiple ports, did you also check your USB power settings by chance? (See below)
How about the Oculus drivers? Are those also up to date:
- Close the Oculus app.
- Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run command.
- Enter C:\Program Files\Oculus\Support\oculus-drivers.
- Open oculus-driver.
- Open the Oculus app and then try to connect your headset again.
USB power settings:
- OpenDevice Manager.
- Locate your USB ports - Expand the universal serial bus controller section at the bottom of the list. Look for the "USB 3.0/3.1/3.10 eXtensible" items.
- Right click and selectProperties.
- Navigate toPower Management.
- Ensure that the options to save power are deselected.
- They won't all have this option which is fine.
Let me know if these might seem to help out, if not I'll try to find some other things you can test as well.🙂

I managed to get it work by disabling my integrated graphics. After I disable AMD Radeon in device manager Quest link connects and launches although it becomes super laggy due to the disabled integrated graphics. After disabling and enabling 3 times, quest link launched and ran smooth with graphics enabled somehow. I don't know how to resolve this though and I tried restarting my computer to see if it would permanently work but I have to do this graphics process each time just to get quest link to work. Please let me know what I can do to get my quest link to work without messing with my integrated graphics each time its such a pain.

I also have the same problem. Before I recently got my laptop's hard drive upgraded for more storage quest link was working fine but now my headset gets stuck on the loading screen with the three white dots when I launch quest link and it is really annoying. So if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Here there, @HyperJAW008! Sometimes when headsets get stuck on the loading screen a hard reboot can be a quick fix!
Please try doing a hard reboot:
- Make sure the power is fully off and the device is fully charged
- Hold down the volume down and power buttons at the same time until you see a menu
- On the menu select boot or reboot
- Highlight boot or reboot (to scroll use the volume up and down buttons)
- To select this option use the power button to do so
- This will prompt your device to restart
Also, please make sure your Quest Link is still set up correctly the link here will help with that.
If you still need some assistance, please let us know!
