Where to get Mega Ring in Pokémon? ›

Mega Ring can be acquired by defeating Korrina, the gym leader of Shalour City, and is used with Mega Stones to make your Pokémon undergo a mega evolution during a Pokémon battle. Mega stones are hard to find in the game, but an upgraded Mega Ring allows you to easily detect Mega Stones buried on the ground.

A Key Stone is a stone that acts as a medium between a Pokémon Trainer and a Pokémon holding a Mega Stone in order to make them Mega Evolve. A Key Stone is typically embedded in a personal accessory. When the Key Stone is activated, the Pokémon's corresponding Mega Stone reacts to it, starting the process.

To be able to use Mega Evolution, a player must have an equipped Mega Bracelet (obtained from winning your first fight with a Mega Evolved boss Pokémon) and a Mega Stone compatible with the chosen party Pokémon. The Mega Bracelet can also be given to the player through the /megaring command.

The Mega-Z Ring Sidequest can be started as early as after the player has earned Badge 08, but the bulk of the quest will remain unavailable until the player return to Reborn City after obtaining Badge 13. The first step of the Quest takes place on 7th Street.

Mega Evolution is a mechanic in the Pokémon series, introduced in Pokémon X and Y. It is a temporary mega evolution that can be initiated in battle if the Pokémon is holding the Mega Stone (except Rayquaza, requires Dragon Ascent) for their species, however, only select Pokémon can undergo Mega Evolution.

There is only one Pokemon that can be Mega Evolved without the use of a Mega Stone. Simply put, that Pokemon is Rayquaza.
